We hired Charlyne as our postpartum doula. She came for two night shifts after we came home from the hospital and helped out during several day shifts. She is absolutely AMAZING. I would not hesitate to recommend her to all of my friends and family. Not only is she fantastic with the baby, but she will provide emotional support for the mother after the birth. For the few days following the birth, I was an emotional wreck. Once she came for her shifts, I felt so much better due to her reassurance; she was able to normalize the experience and make me feel competent. Charlyne also completed light housework such as dishwashing, laundry, etc. I would wake up from a nap and magically the house would look completely together. Finally, she provided invaluable education regarding childcare. She answered any question I had and also would respond very quickly to my texted questions when she was not here. I consider her a lifetime resource. In sum, do not hesitate to hire Charlyne. She is likely in the top 1% of postpartum doulas in LA. In fact, I have had to use several other doulas when she was not available and not one compared to Charlyne.

This woman is GOLD!! Charlyne is the sweetest person combined with knowledge, confidence and a calm and loving energy. I’m a first time mommy and I went without any help for the first couple months after my baby girl was born. I was starting to crack! Sleep deprived, unsure of what I was doing in terms of scheduling and routine and I was having breastfeeding issues. Charlyne came in and turned everything around for us. She was amazing with my daughter and treated her with so much love :) My baby refused taking a bottle and pacifier and Charlyne got her to take both regularly after just a few days!! I loved having her with me….she supported me and cared for me as much as she did for my baby. I already know that I will be bringing her back when I have my second baby! Only this time, I’ll have her with me right when we come home from the hospital. That will allow us to enjoy the precious moments during the early days and be less stressed and exhausted. Plus I’m sure my daughter will be happy to have her with us again!! I consider Charlyne family now :) I highly recommend her!! She’s simply the best!!
